Farm & Land

Our sheep are farmed on domestic farms in Maine, Montana, Nevada, Texas, and the Dakotas. The farm and its land represent the foundation of sustainable practice.

  • We treat the soil as a living community of organisms. We use testing to monitor its health. We amend soils organically.
  • We maintain ground cover and minimize erosion. We use a no-till approach, and sew native species that are best suited to our region, topography, and flock.
  • We capture and store water, limit our access to natural water sources, and control run-off.
  • We are mindful of the land’s carrying capacity, and use science as a guide.
  • We protect wildlife habitat and preserve critical ecosystems.
