Product Benefits + Details
Benefits of Rambouillet Merino Wool
Exceptionally warm, Rambouillet Merino Wool has many benefits to take you from office to outdoors effortlessly.
Long Lasting Woven Fabric
Our wool yarn is worsted, compacted and spun to remarkably fine diameter so it’s superfine, doesn’t itch, and because it's woven lasts for a long time.
Body-Heat Regulating
Rambouillet Merino Wool buffers the elements for long-lasting comfort in warm, wet and cold weather.
Breathable
Because Rambouillet Merino Wool is a natural fiber, sweat is transported away from your skin to keep you dry.
Odor-Resistant
Unlike synthetic fibers, Rambouillet Merino Wool naturally resists bacteria and odor.
Natural & Eco-Friendly
Fueled by water, air, sunshine and grass, sheep produce a fleece, which makes wool a natural and renewable resource.
Responsibly sourced and skillfully crafted for long-lasting comfort, this Ramblers Way Rambouillet Merino Wool garment is grown and sewn entirely in America. Here’s how it’s made:
Superfine Fiber
The secret is in the breed: Rambouillet sheep, a cousin to Merino and prevalent in America’s West, grows a very fine, long staple and durable fiber. Our Rambouillet Merino Wool is sourced from ethical ranchers in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada and Texas.
Surprisingly Soft Fabric
We start with superfine long staple Rambouillet fibers spun parallel to each other to make our unparalleled worsted yarn. The spinning process produces a clean, smooth and tightly knit yarn that’s free of the usual fiber ends that cause you to itch from a typical woolen yarn. From here we use these worsted yarns to make our unique 4 and 5.5 oz. Jersey knits, Rib knits, French Terry and Woven fabrics.
Responsibly Dyed
We use a direct dye process that is water soluble. Our partners are responsible in how they treat their wastewater.

100% Machine Washable + Lay Flat To Dry
We’ve made our garments easy to care for so you can be outside on the trail rather than inside doing laundry. Proper care will ensure years of wear. Hand washing or dry cleaning is not necessary unless otherwise indicated. For best results:
Use gentle cycle in cool water
Use mild detergent; no bleach or fabric softener
Wash like colors together
Close all zippers
Lay flat to dry and reshape to original dimensions.
Wash occasionally with a coarse fabric like denim, to avoid pilling

Experience comfort and warmth with a new wool fabric so light and soft you don't know it's there. Wool this soft changes how you imagine keeping warm at the office, outdoors, at home, or in bed. The natural spring of wool fibers creates a comfortable, relaxed wrap around your body, but not tight.
