Product Benefits + Details
Benefits Of Organic Merino Wool
Exceptionally warm and surprisingly soft, Organic Merino Wool has many benefits to take you from office to outdoors effortlessly.
Next To Skin Comfort
Our wool yarn is worsted, compacted and spun to remarkably fine diameter so it’s superfine, exceptionally soft and doesn’t itch.
Body-Heat Regulating
Organic Merino Wool buffers the elements for long-lasting comfort in warm, wet and cold weather.
Breathable
Because Organic Merino Wool is a natural fiber, sweat is transported away from your skin to keep you dry.
Odor-Resistant
Unlike synthetic fibers, Organic Merino Wool naturally resists bacteria and odor.
Nature’s Luster™
To make our worsted wool fabric, we use superfine, long staple fibers of organic Merino wool that are spun in parallel to create a tightly-knit, long-lasting worsted yarn, which feels soft, lightweight and itch-free. Our worsted wool yarn is knitted into fabrics without any polymers or other finishes. It is never superwashed for machine washability; instead, we treat our wool yarn using a natural enzyme in a non-chlorinated process for an unparalleled look and feel.
100% Organic Merino Wool
Responsibly sourced and skillfully crafted for long-lasting comfort, Ramblers Way Organic Wool is sourced from organic sheep ranches in Argentina certified by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) and the whole garment is certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Our use of GOTS certification helps to ensure that our organic clothing meets stringent standards for sustainable farming and humane treatment of animals on the farm, and strict environmental and social criteria throughout the entire supply chain. Each step in the supply chain is certified to the GOTS standard which ensures visability, traceability and quality assurance throught the entire process from fiber to fabric to fashion. Here's How It's Made:
Superfine Organic Fiber
Certified organic Merino wool fibers are extremely fine and when combed and spun parallel to each other make our remarkably soft worsted yarns. The compact spinning process produces a clean, smooth and tightly twisted yarn that’s free of the usual fiber ends that cause you to itch from a common woolen yarn. From here we use these worsted yarns to make our unique 4 and 5.5 ounce Jersey and Rib knits, and heavier weight French Terry and Woven fabrics.
Surprisingly Soft Fabric
We start with fine long staple organic Merino wool fibers spun parallel to each other to make our unparalleled worsted yarn. The spinning process produces a clean, smooth and tightly knit yarn that’s free of the usual fiber ends that cause you to itch from a typical woolen yarn.
Responsibly Dyed
We use a direct dye process that is water soluble. Our partners are responsible in how they treat their wastewater.

100% Machine Washable + Lay Flat To Dry
We’ve made our garments easy to care for so you can be outside on the trail rather than inside doing laundry. Proper care will ensure years of wear. Hand washing or dry cleaning is not necessary unless otherwise indicated. For best results:
Use gentle cycle in cool water
Use mild detergent; no bleach or fabric softener
Wash like colors together
Close all zippers
Lay flat to dry and reshape to original dimensions.
Wash occasionally with a coarse fabric like denim, to avoid pilling
