Wool Split Front Tube Skirt - Indigo Novelty Dyed
We love that indigo is not only a natural dye, but it's also cropping up everywhere in sustainable fashion. With that in mind, we opened a dye house right down the road from our home office in Kennebunk, Maine, and quickly went wild to curate our Novelty Indigo Collection.
This tube skirt brings together so many worlds to love - easy elasticity, elegant maxi length, a little show-some-leg slit to the knee (up front and center), and our unbelievably soft 5 ounce wool jersey knit (that literally no one else offers).

Benefits of Rambouillet Merino Wool
Exceptionally warm and surprisingly soft, Rambouillet Merino Wool has many benefits to take you from office to outdoors effortlessly.
Long Lasting Comfort
Our wool yarn is worsted, compacted and spun to remarkably fine diameter so it’s superfine, exceptionally soft, durable and doesn’t itch.
Rambouillet Merino Wool buffers the elements for long-lasting comfort in warm, wet and cold weather.
Because Rambouillet Merino Wool is a natural fiber, sweat is transported away from your skin to keep you dry.
Unlike synthetic fibers, Rambouillet Merino Wool naturally resists bacteria and odor.
To make our worsted wool fabric, we use superfine, long staple fibers of Rambouillet Merino wool that are spun in parallel to create a tightly-knit, long-lasting worsted yarn, which feels soft, lightweight and itch-free. Our worsted wool yarn is knitted into fabrics without any polymers or other finishes. It is never superwashed for machine washability; instead, we treat our wool yarn using a natural enzyme in a non-chlorinated process for an unparalleled look and feel.
Ethically sourced and skillfully crafted for long-lasting comfort, this Ramblers Way Rambouillet Merino Wool garment is grown and sewn entirely in America. Here’s how it’s made:
The secret is in the breed: Rambouillet sheep, a cousin to Merino and prevalent in America’s West, grows a very fine, long-staple and durable fiber. Our Rambouillet Merino Wool is sourced from ethical ranchers in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada and Texas.
Surprisingly Soft Fabric
We start with superfine long-staple Rambouillet fibers spun parallel to each other to make our unparalleled worsted yarn. The spinning process produces a clean, smooth and tightly knit yarn that’s free of the usual fiber ends that cause you to itch from a typical woolen yarn. From here we use these worsted yarns to make our unique 4 and 5 ounce Jersey knits, Rib knits, French Terry and Woven fabrics.
We use a natural dye process to bring color to our Rambouillet Merino wool fabric. Our natural dyes comes from dried extracts of plants like indigo, red madder, osage, and logwood. The process requires hands-on, artisan care and results in unique colorfast clothing that’s both beautiful and easy on the environment.
Dry Clean Only, Do Not Bleach
Proper care will ensure you enjoy your Ramblers Way clothing for years to come. For best result opt for green or organic cleaners.
