OUR PRODUCTS

OUR COMPANY OUR BELIEFS  OUR PRODUCTS  OUR STORES

Our American made sustainable clothing is primarily crafted from Rambouillet Merino Wool, Made with Organic Merino Wool and Pima Cotton.

RAMBOUILET MERINO WOOL

The coat of a Rambouillet sheep, an American cousin to the Merino breed, grows long naturally, providing what is referred to as long-staple fibers for weaving or knitting into cloth. Exceptionally warm, Rambouillet Merino Wool has many benefits to take you from office to outdoors effortlessly.

Long Lasting Fabric -    A clean, smooth and tightly-knit long staple worsted yarn free of the itchy fiber ends, typically found in woolen yarns, is stronger and lasts longer.

Breathable -    Rambouillet Merino Wool buffers elements like moisture for second-skin comfort.

Moisture Wicking -    Because Rambouillet Merino Wool is a natural fiber, sweat is transported away from your skin to keep you dry.

Odor-Resistant -    Bacteria and odors don’t build up, so you can wash it less frequently.

Natural & Eco-Friendly -    Fueled by water, air, sunshine and grass, sheep produce a fleece, which makes wool a natural and renewable resource.

MADE WITH ORGANIC MERINO WOOL

Our clothing is made with organic Merino wool.

Though the U.S. has organic standards that encompass sheep farming, the standards don’t address how the wool is processed once it leaves the farm.   For example, to make wool machine washable, the fabric is typically “superwashed,” a chlorinated process that Ramblers Way has never used. To avoid chemicals, Ramblers Way’s partners wash our wool clothing using a natural enzyme. Additionally, all wastewater processes — a sizeable problem in the clothing industry. This means that our wool is processed in a way that’s safe for people, flower and fauna.

LONG LASTING WORSTED WOOL

Both our Rambouillet Merino Wool and our Organic Merino Wool are crafted of worsted yarn. This yarn is made of less than 19 micron long-staple fibers that have been combed twice to remove any short fibers and spun parallel to each other (vs. a woolen yarn, which is randomly entangled). This careful spinning process produces a clean, smooth and tightly knit yarn that’s free of the usual fiber ends that cause you to itch.

Our fabric is further defined by proprietary spinning techniques that remove any excess fiber to reduce potential pilling. This produces a long lasting fabric that means our clothes stay in your wardrobe for a long time.

PIMA COTTON

Commonly called ‘the cashmere of cotton,’ Pima Cotton is known for its softness and durability. Pima Cotton has a wide range of benefits for wherever your adventure takes you.

Next to Skin Comfort -    Long staple Pima cotton was developed by the Pima Indians of the American Southwest and is a superlative cotton yarn and fabric known for its fineness and durability.

Cashmere of Cotton -    Similar to Egyptian Cotton, Pima Cotton is the highest quality cotton available domestically and produces high-quality, versatile clothes that go from office to outdoors.

Breathable -    Cotton breathes better than oil-based synthetic fabrics like polyester, so it’s the perfect thing to wear from office to outdoors.

Non-Allergenic -    While synthetic fabrics are manufactured with chemicals, cotton is a natural fabric that does not irritate the skin and is often recommended for people with sensitive skin.

Natural & Eco-Friendly -    Pima Cotton is an all-natural fiber that is entirely renewable and sustainable.
