Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Opened in late 2016, the Portsmouth store at 100 Market Street was formerly home to another retail store, and in the spirit of New England thrift (and sustainability, of course!), we reused their mirrors and LED track lighting. Additionally, the fixtures and cash register counter are made of reclaimed wood. Behind the cash register, you’ll find antique louvers from a local church, and under your feet is hemlock wood flooring, reclaimed from an old barn in Vermont. The Portsmouth store features exclusives like Leigh & Luca scarves and offers customization of existing our styles, done by our head seamstress, Lisette.
Hanover, New Hampshire
Also opened in 2016, our Hanover store at 37 South Main Street is located in a historic building and supports the Dartmouth community. In fact, our Dartmouth Jacket, a men’s blazer exclusive to our stores, was inspired by the location and the College.Check out the beautiful terrazzo flooring – imagine our surprise when we ripped up old carpeting to find this gem. With a little restoration, it was ready for a second life. As at our Portsmouth store, the cash register counter is made from reclaimed wood, as is some of the shelving holding our clothing. A special touch brought over from our HQ town of Kennebunk, Maine are the elm platforms, created from a 200-year-old tree that was slated to be cut down. Our mannequins stand atop these platforms.
