100% merino wool at 19.5 micron, knit to 135 gsm, which is lighter than almost any base layer you have worn. Soft enough for all-day contact with skin, warm without bulk, and naturally odor resistant, so they hold up through several days of wear before they need washing.

Built to live under jeans, ski pants, work trousers or a dress. Wool handles the swing between a cold morning and an overheated office better than anything synthetic, and it does it without the smell.

What these are, and what they are not

These are a next-to-skin base layer at 135 gsm, the lightest weight we make. That featherweight construction is exactly what makes them invisible under clothing. It also means they are not built to serve as an outer pant. Worn on their own for yoga, cycling, or anything with repeated stretch and abrasion, the fabric will wear out faster than it should.

If you want a wool legging you can wear as pants, tell us. We are looking hard at a heavier weight, and we would rather build the right thing than have you force this one into a job it was not made for.

100% Machine Washable

We’ve made our garments easy to care for so you can be outside on the trail rather than inside doing laundry. Proper care will ensure you enjoy your Ramblers Way garments for years to come. Hand washing or dry cleaning is not necessary unless otherwise indicated.

Merino Wool

Use gentle cycle in warm or cool water
Use mild detergent; no bleach or fabric softener
Wash like colors together
Close all zippers
Lay flat or tumble dry on low setting
To avoid pilling, wash occasionally with a coarse fabric like denim

Wool leggings

I have two pairs (well actually just one now because the other one ripped so badly)…these provide great warmth but just don’t hold up when you go to pull them up. They tear extremely easily because they’re so thin. My second pair already has holes in them as well and I’m just trying to wear them as long as possible. Super sad given the price. I love supporting made in the 🇺🇸

We design this base layer with fine, lightweight wool so it breathes and layers perfectly under other clothing without adding bulk. However, because it is a 100% natural fiber without synthetic plastic woven in, it can be more delicate than standard spandex when pulled. That being said, at this price point, we want you to have gear you can rely on. Unfortunately…

Unfortunately, these didn’t work out for me/they ripped as I was pulling the up. I dont know if the material is just that fragile or what the problem was. I did contact t customer service and they were more than happy to take care of this for me.

We are certainly sorry these leggings were unsatisfactory for you, and frankly, us as well. Unfortunately, With natural fibers, there can be imperfections during the knitting and sewing process. However, we hope our customer service met and exceeded your expectations with this issue.

Not exactly what I expected

Disclaimer: this was my first time buying merino wool leggings. On the positive side they are comfortable.
However, based on the picture I was under the impression that the leggings were much thicker than they actually are. They are very thin. So maybe it’s just because I don’t have much experience with buying merino wool…but I kind of felt like paying $95 for thin leggings seems a bit much. I’m just hoping they will last a very long time. I plan to wear them a lot as a staple in my wardrobe along with a wool tunic I got from this company too. (That seems to be higher quality). I’m just sharing my honest opinion and experience. Perhaps if I buy more merino wool clothing I’ll be able to understand more if $95 for these was a rip off or if it was worth it.

Soft and warm! I was a little worried that the waistband elastic would feel too snug, but it's actually just fine. Will buy more of these, for myself and family.
